So here it is again, another Black Friday fire-sale from retailers all jostling to offer the best promotions and deals, at the lowest prices, without ruining margins and making the event unprofitable.
Most retailers will do well out of Black Friday however for others who can’t afford to compete it’s likely to lead to a loss of Christmas sales, particularly with the likes of Amazon offering nearly 2 weeks of promotions this year, bringing Christmas shopping forward 2 weeks.
That is of course for the retailers to worry about whilst we, the people, forget about the likes of Brexit and pull out our wallets for uncontrollable spending.
This year I’ve been looking at some of the best deals around that interest me and the Black Friday deals at Debenhams certainly present a decent offering for some Christmas shopping for myself, the house and my wife.
The Debenhams website states the following this year which are very much in line with the 2015 promotion.
- VAT free fragrances
- Up to half price electricals
- Half price men’s formal shirts
- Half price women’s designer knitwear
- Half price Tripp luggage
- Half price beauty and health electricals
- Half price toys and games
- Half price Gorgeous DD+ lingerie
- Half price cookware
- Half price kidswear
- Half price furniture + extra 10% off
- Half price Denny
- 30% off women’s shoes and boots
- 30% off bedding
- 20% off Joseph Joseph
Quite the offering!
Well before the website crashes or everything sells out I’m off to spend some money.
